Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore your health in more detail.
We'll start by talking about what has brought you to see me and any concerns you'd particularly like to address.
I'll then take a thorough medical history, looking at your different body systems and how they may be connected. We'll also discuss your diet, lifestyle, sleep, stress levels, family health history and any medications or supplements you're taking.
If you have recent blood tests or other relevant medical results, we can look through these together.
What happens after your appointment?
I'll take some time to review everything we've discussed and put together a personalised treatment plan, including herbal medicine, dietary and lifestyle recommendations where appropriate.
Your herbal prescription will be prepared specifically for you and can include tinctures, herbal teas or other preparations. Your herbs can then be sent to you by post or given in person.
Follow-up Consultation
Herbal medicine is often an ongoing process, and follow-up appointments give us the opportunity to see how you're getting on.
We'll talk about any changes you've noticed, what's working well and anything that may need a different approach.
Together, we'll review your treatment plan, discuss any new concerns or medical results and make adjustments to your herbal prescription or lifestyle recommendations where needed.
Follow-up appointments are usually arranged every 4–6 weeks, depending on your individual needs and how you're progressing.
Herbal Medicine Costs
Herbal medicines are charged separately from consultation fees, as each prescription is prepared according to your individual needs.
As a general guide:
- Herbal tinctures: approximately £10–£15 per week, depending on dosage.
- Dried herbal teas: approximately £8–£12 per 100 g.
The cost of your prescription will always be discussed with you before your herbs are prepared. Postage may be charged separately.
